Appearing at Businesses
We, the crew of the USS Yellow Submarine are proud to honor our sponsors here. Without the support of these sponsors who believed in a dream, believed in a septic tank, we would not be where we are today. So, please, support those who support us and never let it be said that we don't have a price.

Sponsors benefit from their sponsorship of the most popular craft in the race not only from Community Goodwill, support of the Arts, and overall Glory but also from gratuitous exposure. Sponsors find their names on hundreds of fliers that are handed out at the race. Some sponsors have patches made up which are prominently displayed on our uniforms, those same sponsors are listed boldly on Sub itself as well. In fact, our major sponsor has
8 1/2" x 11" reserved on the back of all the uniforms for their logo.

Perhaps even greater exposure and advertising comes from our numerous appearances at businesses, in parades, convoys, on television, and the inevitable radio plug where Captain Chuck is asked, "Who is your sponsor?"

We do everything we can to help those who have believed in us and helped us through the years, thanks to them all!

We put your name in customers hands, During races fliers are handed out to thousands!

Denny Bicycles, Ukiah is a sponsor from our first year of racing in 1995. A long haired man came into that shop one day to talk with Doug Denny, owner. He spoke of a human powered off road vehicle race and of his dream of racing a septic tank with four wheel drive and four wheel steering. Trusting in this strange person and believing in his dream, Doug Denny graciously handed out needed bicycle parts. Tragically, two weeks before the Sub would race her first event ever, the triathelete died of a heart attack at the age of 26. We will forever remember his generosity and hope that people will learn from this great Human Being. Our support now goes out to the family of Doug Denny who continue to operate the Ukiah based bicycle shop.
